England Announce Blockbuster 2027 Home Schedule Featuring Men’s and Women’s Ashes
England are set for a packed home summer in 2027, with the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) confirming a schedule featuring the Men’s and Women’s Ashes, Pakistan, Bangladesh and New Zealand, alongside the ICC World Test Championship Final.
The international season will begin on May 15, when England Men face Pakistan in the opening match of a five-ODI series.
One of the biggest attractions of the summer will be the Ashes, with England’s men’s and women’s teams taking on Australia during June and July.
England to Begin Summer Against Pakistan
England Men will open their 2027 home campaign with five ODIs against Pakistan.
The matches will be played across Southampton, Manchester, Leeds, Chester-le-Street and Cardiff between May 15 and May 26.
With the 2027 ODI World Cup approaching, the series will form an important part of England’s preparations for the global tournament.

Bangladesh Return to England for Lord’s Test
Immediately after the Pakistan series, England will host Bangladesh in a one-off Test at Lord’s beginning May 28.
It will be a significant occasion for Bangladesh, marking their first men’s Test in England since 2010.
The match is scheduled from May 28 to June 1.
The Oval to Host 2027 WTC Final
The ICC World Test Championship Final will return to The Oval in London.
The match will run from June 9 to June 13, bringing together the top two teams from the 2025-27 WTC cycle.
It will be the second WTC Final staged at The Oval after the venue hosted the 2023 final.
The 2027 edition will also carry additional historical significance as cricket celebrates 150 years of Test cricket.
Men’s Ashes Begins at Trent Bridge
The headline event of England’s summer will begin on June 18, when England and Australia meet at Trent Bridge for the opening Ashes Test.
Lord’s and Edgbaston will host the second and third Tests respectively.
The Utilita Bowl in Southampton will host an Ashes Test for the first time, staging the fourth match of the series.
The fifth and final Test begins at The Oval on July 29.

- 2nd Test: June 30-July 4 – Lord’s
- 3rd Test: July 8-12 – Edgbaston

Australia are also scheduled to face a full-strength England Lions side at Old Trafford from June 7-10.
However, that warm-up fixture will be reviewed if Australia qualify for the World Test Championship Final.
Women’s Ashes to Run Alongside Men’s Series
England Women will also take on Australia in a multi-format Ashes series during the same summer.
The Women’s Ashes begins with a one-off Test at Headingley on June 24.
It will be followed by three T20Is and three ODIs.
Headingley will stage a Women’s Ashes Test for the first time since 2001.

New Zealand Tour England in September
England Men will return to white-ball action in September when New Zealand arrive for an eight-match series.
The tour consists of three T20Is and five ODIs, providing England with another major opportunity to prepare for the ODI World Cup.

The six-match white-ball series consists of three T20Is followed by three ODIs between September 8 and September 24.

Huge Summer Ahead for English Cricket
ECB chief executive Richard Gould described the Ashes as the pinnacle of the sport and highlighted the significance of having multiple England teams taking on Australia during the same summer.
The 2027 season will feature international cricket across all three formats, with the simultaneous Men’s and Women’s Ashes providing the centrepiece.
